In my time on the sommelier team at the Vineyard, I developed a close working relationship with senior management and, under the tutelage of the beverage director Romain Bourger I was able to hone my skills on the floor and expand my wine knowledge. I specialised in upselling more notable wines and converting recommendations into retail sales. I’d like to continue working in a luxury setting because I really relate to the ethos and style of service, delivering high quality food and drink to an exceptional standard; Furthermore, understand what is expected, at a high level, having worked at a Relais and Chateaux, Pride of Britain property. I feel I can already deliver what you need in terms of building rapport with guests, and running a seamless service. I am adept at all aspects of service, whether that be fast paced busy periods, complicated functions or guided wine tastings.
